2013 senior Rachel JJ Pearce High School

Rachel was smart and scheduled her session in January for the spring and we had a perfect day!

She opted for Autumn to do her hair and make up at the studio. She and Autumn had even done a trial run on her make up to make sure it was the look she wanted.  She looked fabulous! Rachel has such beautiful eyes and Autumn did her magic to make them  just pop in all her images.  Rachel had a shoe (Choo) wardrobe – TO DIE FOR (check them out).  Honestly, it was so much fun showcasing her outfits with the locations and the shoes.  Her mom is such a sweetheart, as well and her dad even met up with us towards the end for a few shots with his super cool car.  I love it when clients want to personalize their session with their car or dog.  Her mom left me the most amazing phone message after she received her collection of digital images – so loved getting to know this family and capture the beauty and personality of this gal!

Senior 2013 Katie from Trinity Christian Academy

Gorgeous senior session on with Katie from last September! I had this location in mind for awhile, but I knew this would be the perfect place for her shoot – this amazing antique store in the Design District.

2013 Senior Gracie from JJ Pearce High School

Let’s start catching up the blog with all the great seniors I’ve met from the class of 2013.

From June of 2012 thru now, I’ve photographed over 50 seniors from 12 area high schools! Whew!  What fun it’s been.  So much fun in fact, I’ve neglected to show off a few of their images on a blog post.

And just an fyi:  If you’re a 2014 senior, you might want to get your session scheduled soon,  I have great stuff planned for the Class of 2014!

Featuring, from last November, a gorgeous session with Gracie in the Arts District and the Klyde Warren Park. Gracie asked if she could include her dog in a few – are you kidding??? I LOVE dogs!!! Of course you can bring your dog. Beautiful day, fun location and happy senior, made for some beautiful images. Check out a few:

2013 Senior Adam from JJ Pearce High School

I’ve had a great time photographing some senior sessions for the guys this spring.  Yeah, it’s probably a little harder to convince them to do a shoot, but I’m pretty sure they are all glad they did.

Check out this session with Adam, who jumped on my offer to use a location I had tucked in my back pocket – shooting with a bunch of vintage Thunderbirds! See guys, it isn’t all that bad.

2013 senior Nicole from JJ Pearce High School

Nicole’s session was on a beautiful day. Love her gorgeous look.  Loved getting this message from her mom before I even got home from the shoot:
“Thank you so much for today!  Besides the beautiful and amazing photos, Nicole had a blast!  We really appreciate all the time you took with her.  We look forward to seeing her photos.”

You know it’s not just the photos, but the whole experience of your session with Connie Roper Seniors that makes it a memorable time.

The day of your shoot starts off with professional make up by Autumn (if you opt for her services, which I highly recommend).  We meet at the comfortable and spacious natural light loft studio near downtown where Autumn does her magic with hair and/or make up. You can opt for one look from her or even have her stay thru the whole shoot to change your look with each outfit (so fun!).  While Autumn is working with you, I go thru your wardrobe and do any fine tuning and decide on the order of you changes, depending on our location.  We keep water, snacks and music flowing while we hang out in the loft.  After Autumn is done, we do a few images in the studio, especially some head shots and any images you might want for recruitment packages.

Then we head out to our location.  Sometimes I have an assistant meet up with us at location .  Anyway, that’s just a little peek in how we get started in our session.

Let’s get back to Nicole. . . .
